Science Fair

We went to the Science fair. In my experiment with three different kinds of flour in cookies, we found that the more expensive flour (Hudson Cream) did make better cookies. The other two kinds (Walmart and Pillsbury) were very different from each other, but there were people who voted for each of those. At the science fair, I had to explain my project to the judge. On the score sheet, she said I did a good job of explaining it, but I thought it was hard. Eli and Donna came, too. I got third place in my age group. I got a ribbon and the prize I picked was a wooden boat and trailer model kit to put together (and take apart!!! :-) We also got to watch a show about the science of bubbles that was funny. The Science Fair was awesomely sciency.

Trout Fishing

On Sunday afternoon, Dad, Conrad and I went to the Missouri Western pond and went trout fishing. I caught nothing because I got cold and spent most of my time in the truck! Conrad caught two fish--a small one and a big one, and Dad caught a medium-sized one. We gave the fish to Grandpa Vern and Grandma Colleen--they thought it was yummy! I like fishing a lot, but I like to fish in the warm summertime best (but I thought ice fishing last winter was awesome!)

The Cutie-Pie Visit

Eliana, Kevin and Trena came to visit from Texas. Eliana is a cutie-pie. We gave her a Valentine's dog and were excited to celebrate her first Valentine's Day with her. She played the piano with me, as you can see. I loved to make her happy by clapping a rhythm, jumping around, and being silly. I like holding her, too. The other picture is in her Sunday dress, and it was cute!

Valentine's Day

At At church, we made Valentine baskets for our widows and singles. On Valentine's Day, we picked up Maison and Abbey and made part of the deliveries. We went to see Carolyn (in the first picture), Pat (in the second picture), Lucille, Ilene, and Debbie. I was glad that we did it because they got Valentines on Valentines Day.

Flour Power

For my science experiment for the Science Fair, I am doing a project that checks to see if changing the flour in a recipe makes a difference in how it turns out? I found out that it did make a difference---all the cookies looked and tasted differently. The expensive flour (Hudson Cream) got the most votes. The least expensive flour (Walmart brand) got the least votes. Dad and I had great fun sampling the different cookies with milk. This is Sarah Weeks who sampled. Thanks to all who helped me in my cookie experiment. I take my project in a week--so I need to get busy putting it together.

Bowling!

We went bowling with Peyton and Connor. (Connor is in orange and Peyton is in green). It was their first time, and it was fun showing them how to do it. Conrad and I each took one cousin and helped them each time. When Connor was done with his turn, he bowed and said, "Thank you, thank you" It was funny. Then, we got to eat at Wendy's.

Cousins!

Today my twin cousins came to visit. We gave them Cars Valentines. (that is Peyton in the picture with the Valentine). They ran around in circles playing with the cat. Uncle Tad walked Peyton, Connor and I down the path to the clover field. I liked having them come to my house!

Sunday

On Sunday we ate together after church. The pictures are of Conrad and I and of my girlfriend, Maison in the pink and black (I just say that to make Conrad jealous) and of Abbey.

New Cousin!!!

I found out yesterday that we are going to get a new cousin. Connor and Peyton are going to be big brothers! I am happy. I hope it is a girl because they already have boys. I think the perfect name for the baby would be "Anesthesia" so she would go to sleep faster and sleep more. :-)

(I really made my mom laugh when I told her this!)

Banquet

On Saturday night, we went to the Quail Unlimited Banquet and I got two different hats. One has a dog on it. We had barbecue for supper--it was GOOD!
